Prince Edward Island Heritage Fair
The Provincial Heritage Fair is an ongoing educational initiative, supported by the Department of Tourism and Culture that provides an opportunity for students, between the grades of 4 to grade 9 to create engaging and dynamic history projects/presentations for public viewing at the Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown.
The Provincial Heritage Fair exhibits displays from over 25 schools across the Island. This is a very special event that allows kids to explore the rich and dynamic histories of their families, their communities, province and their country.
The Community Museums Association of PEI is an on-going supporter of the Heritage Fair. Every year the CMA-PEI gives a special prize of two cash awards for projects that focus on local and/or community history. The CMA-PEI sends 2 judges to the fair to evaluate the projects and pick 2 winners.
