What We Did

We worked on eighty-three artifacts in the Gard Collection. These artifacts were each fully processed; researched, catalogued, photographed, and labeled. This collection consisted of textiles ranging from clothing, furnishings and linens. Each object has been cataloged and given its own record. The cataloging included an accession number being assigned and applied to each object. A detailed condition report was completed about each object. The artifacts have also been researched for such things as marker marks, history of designs and types of materials used etc. As well, each artifact has been cleaned and photographed. The photographs have been resized, edited, renamed as their accessions number and burned to a cd. With multiple photographs for some artifacts and the brackets identify the sequence of those pictures. An accession record and photocopies of all catalogue records have been provided. The artifacts have been wrapped in acid free tissue and marked with their accession number.
